The Hot Club, Philadelphia, Pa. opened in 1977 as a jazz venue but soon became Philly’s first New Wave and Punk music venue.  During its heyday it served as the location of early local performances from Elvis Costello, Iggy Pop amd Buzzcocks.  The club closed in 1980.
