Max’s Kansas City, 213 Park Avenue South, New York, N.Y. . Opened 1965, closed 1981, Max’s was the hangout of choice for musicians and artists during downtown New York’s heyday.  The famous back room regularly hosted Andy Warhol and his entourage, Lou Reed, Marc Bolan, Patti Smith, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper and the New York Dolls.  The club was the epicenter of the Glam Rock scene that came before punk rock was a thing, and continued to be important until its demise.

This shirt is an exact copy of the original T-shirt from the 1970’s.  Nobody knows why the chick peas were important enough to be such a large part of the design.

100% soft light-weight ring spun cotton with a premium fit.  For more about fit and sizing look on the FAQ page.
