Cheap Thrills Records – 382 George Street, New Brunswick, N.J. Opened in 1974 and closed in the early 2000s after two moves, Cheap Thrills was the record store at the center of what was then a world famous live music scene in New Brunswick during the 1980s. With an amazing selection fo Punk and New Wave records not available anywhere else, and home of the $1.99 specials, the store was the place to shop for records at the time. Know for the Mr. T. head spinning on a turntable in the window, there was and still is no place like Cheap Thrills.
This shirt is an exact reproduction of the store’s logo seen around town on white paper bags wherever there was a turntable.
