The Capitol Theatre – Passaic, New Jersey. From 1921 until it closed in 1989, the 3,200 seat Capitol Theatre presented every type of act from The Three Stooges to The Rolling Stones. Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, the theatre was a popular stop for nationally touring bands including The Grateful Dead, The Clash, R.E.M., Lou Reed, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Talking Heads, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Frank Zappa, Cheap Trick, The Allman Brothers Band, Cheap Trick, Peter Frampton, Billy Joel, Rush, and many, many others.
This shirt is an exact reproduction of the original shirt that was sold at the theatre in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.
