Big Man’s West –  129 Monmouth Street, Red Bank, New Jersey was a club owned by Clarence Clemons, the legendary saxophone player from Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band.  The club was only open from July 1980 until January 1983.  During its short heyday, it played host to musical acts like Gary U.S. Bonds, Jon Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, Bonnie Raitt and Southside Johnny.  Bruce Springsteen would often show up and play, as he was known to do around the Jersey Shore club scene.  He appeared at the club at least 18 times during its short lifespan.
